Meg Wachter

Dumped! is a series of photographs by Brooklyn-based photographer Meg Wachter in which Watcher captures the weirdness and joy of dumping various foods and liquids on her friends' heads.

The facial expressions are priceless.

I also like to offer myself for Wachter next round of dumping!

Lagrange34

I always perceive food as another medium of art. And I'm not alone on this. Lagrange 34 is a new line of chocolate bars that combine the traditional quality of chocolate with a contemporary design approach, to exploit the potential of chocolate as a design products by all means.

Lagrange34

The chocolate is designed to involve all senses- sight, touch, hearing, smell and taste- and explore the relationship between the flavor and the edible object: a true synergetic approach to design.

Napkin Art

Another fun idea from Kouichi Okamoto of Kyouei Design. Frame napkin is just a normal napkin with a photo frame printing on it. The great part is after the meals, the stains you left on the napkin will look likes a framed art.

Please don't be afraid of staining.
After meals, you can enjoy your "today's special" art.
The "stain" is art !

Dragon's Tail

Design by Filipino designer Luisa De Los Santos Robinson, a member from Movement 8 ( a consortium of Philippines' most innovative designers), Dragon's tail floor & hanging lamp is a result of glowing creations form of nostalgic childhood games and memories of dragon stories. An intertwining of simple materials with calculated execution.

Dragon's Tail Lamp

Luisa is an advocate of modernism and clean designs. She is nimble and prolific and her designs are marked by lightness and grace. She brings an air of unnerving aplomb to everything she creates. Her designs are mostly inspired by organic shapes and the different characteristics of the natural materials she chooses, and the end result is something so pure and simple yet totally unexpected. The lines she creates are clear and crisp so that even the materials of choice are a determining factor. Luisa puts emphasis on materiality, on the substance in design inherent in a material which leads to a synthesis of form and function, or an enhancement of both.

Dragon's Tail is currently produced by HIVE, a design and manufacturing facility where various designers can create objects for production under one roof.

Marianne Bara

Marianne Bara is a talented hat designer from Hungary. She custom handmade all her hats by her own imagination and the understanding of classical forms. And the final product is so fascinating yet elegant & charming.

Marianne Bara
Marianne Bara

I began making and designing hats fifteen years ago, which was preceded by a lengthy professional search. The fact that I made the right decision is reinforced daily when I sit down to create hats and I am filled with happiness and calm. The process of creation always brings with it thoughts and problems upon which one can continuously build and grow. In my world, I match the classical forms (beret, sailor hat, turban, cloche, toque etc.) with my own fantasy world. Furthermore, I always consider the needs and the requirement of contemporary living: I design hats which are easy to wear, handle and store. My constant example is Coco Chanel, who, after creating a new model would begin to wear the piece therein testing what it is like to live in her own design. A given design is never complete, rather it can be developed over a lifetime. The various age groups, types of women and modes of using a hat all give an exciting challenge. There are those who would like something practical and aesthetic for everyday wear. Others have hats designed for their personality. Finally there are those who seek a hat for a special occasion (wedding, reception, etc.).

Gloji

I can't believe Gloji juice become a reality. The packaging is just too nice to drink the juice inside. I just wonder how to store the bottle still?

Gloji Juice

Gloji is an antioxidant power drink which is made from the ripest of goji berries, harvested in the traditional Tibetan manner of shaking rather than picking from the trees, ensuring each berry is fully in-tact prior to pressing. The fruit is then hand-wash & pasteurized before being fed through the fresh press centrifudge in order to capture the pure juice of each berry. All done in Tibet before being shipped to the US for bottling.

Gloji Juice
Gloji Juice

Gloji came in 2 type of flavors, Gloji Mix which is a mix of goji berries juice + promegranate juice + natural flavors and Goji Gold which contains Tibetan goji berries + citric acid (for better taste) + potassium sorbate (to maintain freshness).

Ian Fleming's Bond Novels

Will be a great collection for my bookcase. Ian Fleming's Bond Modern Classics by Penguin Books.

In January, 1952, Ian Fleming began work on his first James Bond novel. At the time, Fleming was the Foreign Manager for Kemsley Newspapers, an organisation owned by The Sunday Times. Upon accepting the job, Fleming requested that he be allowed two months vacation per year. Every year thereafter, until his death in 1964, Fleming would retreat for the first two months of the year to his Jamaican estate, Goldeneye, to write a James Bond book.

Between 1953 and 1966, twelve James Bond novels and two short story collections by Fleming were published, including one novel and one collection issued posthumously. (It is still argued whether Fleming himself actually finished 1965's The Man with the Golden Gun, as he died very soon after it is known to have been completed.)
