The "Childhood Memories" is a series of bug-shape furniture & lamp collection created by Brooklyn based Site Specific Design.

Based on designer Rui Docouto's recollections of growing up in Terceira, Azore, the late 60's and 70's in Terceira had its limitations on commercial toys, exploring nature was a very natural form of entertainment for a child. Those memories left a tremendous impact on Rui as an adult. In 2002 while designing a NYC restaurant, he came across some oval shapes that reminded him of his earlier bug drawings. He took those shapes and started experimenting with different leg configuration to get the sense/feeling of movement in the piece. After years of experimenting the first bug lamp was completed, Lucana. The goal with the bug-lamps was to give them a feeling of movement as though they were alive and in the process of movement, as they still are in the artist/designers memory. The bug lamps can be used for both indoor and be modified for outdoor use. Besides the lamps having a function of illuminating space, they are also pieces of sculptures, which are existent in any environment. Rui's work through the years has been about movement, from painting to functional sculptural pieces of furniture and lighting. The 2009 pieces designed together with his wife Nahid Rupani are intended to do the same visually, physically and/or emotionally with affordable prices in mind and without compromising with the design integrity of Rui Docouto's Childhood Memories.

While the design mimic the shape of a picnic basket, this magazine basket is actually a good storage for your latest magazine subscription. With its two-tier design, you can either store or display your choice magazine as you like. And the plus point is you can take the basket with you anywhere.

Vitis is a bio-mimetic module. A flexible screen. An art. Designed by Naples based Fabio Scotto, Vitis was developed by observing the way how some plants can cling through their tendrils. Vitis, made of polystyrene injection, has different connecting joints which make the module grows in all directions in space creating bio-mimetic wall.
The repetition of this single elementary component creates an irregular skin while achieving visual richness. By adding different modules, it is possible to calibrate the light passing through them. The impression given is a wall that can grow spontaneously and, thanks to the material, if somebody interacts with the layout of the wall, the aspect of it suddenly changes, "recording" his passage.

Created by Sylvain Willenz for Established & Sons, the Landmark series of lights is inspired by outdoor functional devices designed to be seen from the sky by helicopters or aeroplanes. The typologies of these inspirations were reinterpreted into indoor domestic elements. The Landmark Roof light, is inspired by signs found along roads which usually indicate milage and underground gas conduct trails. The Landmark Cone light takes its shape from the well known windsock, a simple textile tube on a pole, used to indicate wind direction. In low winds the wind sock droops and in high wind it floats horizontally, hence the articulated top of the light.

The highly creative Art.Lebedev Studio has produced a half meter long remote control that can hold more channels than you can imagine. Pultius is created to solve the many channels available on TV. Pultius controls 399 channels with three range selection buttons and only needed two AAA-sized batteries to operate.

The writing on the labeling, which is reminiscent of traditional food stamps, is the core design element The lettering is used in different colors on the labels. The description of the wine is placed on the top of the front labels. The writing wraps around the four sides of the unfinished, gray corrugated cardboard box. Flexo-printing was used forthe white, slightly translucent lettering.

Theo- In Jet Nut crystal, Theo crouches and prepares himself for yet another adventure. His Chalk White crystal eyes with black printed pupils peer inquisitively. You can almost sense his Jet crystal nose twitch with excitement.
Emily- Dreamy, playful and ever the romantic, Emily the cat reflects deep shades of pink off her fully faceted Fuchsia crystal body. A silver-tone metal butterfly sits gently on her ear as she watches it with her Chalk White crystal eyes and printed black pupils.

Marie and Pierre- They make quite a couple. Calm and relaxed, Marie comes in vibrant shades of Kakadu Red Satin crystal. A small heart in Chalk White crystal dangles gracefully around her neck. Pierre complements her beautifully in Indian Sapphire crystal. This cute and charming couple are clearly in love. Diane makes quite a statement sitting tall and proud in fully faceted Golden Shadow crystal. Her ears and tail create a stunning contrast in Smoky Quartz crystal. Her Aquamarine crystal eyes with black printed pupils glitter with intelligence. She loves her classic Light Creamrose Pearl necklace.

Ines- Fashionable and feline, Ines gleams in Shadow crystal with her contrasting ears and tail in the darker shades of Morion crystal. Her blue Aquamarine crystal eyes with black printed pupils fill with pride as she poses elegantly with her Dark Grey Pearl necklace.
Camille – who once had celebrity status with the spotlight constantly on her – is wise in her ways. She loves to spend some quiet time in the comfort of her own home.

This table pushes the limit of design as art and yet retains all its funtionality. The three legged, tri-lobbed Morotai table seats comfortably as a round table but gives a slightly increase sense of intimacy. Made from a very dense terrazzo of pure brass powder, this table combines the noble metal with a strikingly innovative design. Also available in aluminum terrazzo.
Morotai table has won the Interior Design Magazine 3rd Annual Best of Year Awards: Designers' Choice

Oculus is the first luxury yacht from Schöpfer Yachts LLC. This 250-foot vessel was designed by E. Kevin Schöpfer, founder and owner of his namesake company. Designed to accommodate 12 guests in extraordinary comfort and style, Oculus is a long distance cruising yacht capable of speeds upwards of 25 knots.
The exterior styling is representative of the jaw and eye socket bone structure of large oceanic fish and mammals. Featuring a dramatic reverse bow configuration, the yacht’s armature balances an elegant expression of symmetry and structure.

In addition to the bow, Oculus also features a “low rider profile”. This slightly lowered surface allows for new side recreational areas, alternate dockage access and light cruising openness. Lateral retractable side panels close this area when heavier wave action is indicated.
The interior features of Oculus focus on a 12 foot high ceiling in the main salon, a cylindrical double height dining room, central stair and elevator tube, and seemingly anatomical ceiling and floor lighting extensions giving definition to the seating areas.
The second level is the dedicated Owner’s suite. Living areas and bedchambers are divided by a series of four freestanding tubes, which house bath and storage necessities.

In addition to the main common stair, the second Owner’s stair connects to the third level aft private salon and deck / water feature.
The third level also contains the forward pilothouse and separate captain’s quarters. The generous open decks with separate water features are located forward and aft for convenient guest use. Specifications and plans are in the final stages of completion and will be posted at a later time.
