Corrugated art by Mark Langan

“Corrugated Art” is the celebration of the unique properties of a highly visible manufactured product for which it was not purportedly intended. Striving to artistically focus by highlighting those aesthetically characteristic qualities which otherwise would be unknowingly ignored- Mark Langan.
Corrugated art, is how Mark Langan refers to it. Using entirely reclaimed corrugated boxes from his trash and neighborhood, Mark Langan transformed the everyday material into something other than its original intended purpose…aesthetically beautiful three-dimensional art. Armed only with a razor blade, a cutting edge, a mat and some non toxic glue, each artwork is created by layering sheets of corrugated into aesthetically pleasing patterns. The corrugated lends itself well to patterns, when viewed from different angles and lighting, the piece changes.
The end result is not only intriguingly intricate because of its corrugated composition, it also helps inspire people to…reduce, reuse and recycle!
