Y+B Wines by Spear Design Group

A re-branding of the fast growing organic wine, Spear Design Group developed the new packaging that tells the Yellow+Blue story for the Y+B Wines company’s four eco-friendly, organic wines: Malbec, Torrontes, Sauvignon Blanc and Rosé.

Yellow+Blue = Green. When you mix the two together, you get green — as in environmentally conscious Y+B organic wine packs in the Tetra Pak: save cost and save carbon footprint.

The wine packaging features bright colors with Wine descriptors and factoids wrap around the eco-friendly carton. The type grows up vertically to create visual impact.

Container mall by LOT-EK

This Container Mall proposed by LOT-EK back in 2003 was designed to take advantage of the inherent intelligence of standardized shipping containers to configure vertical malls that could be erected in left over empty lots throughout the city. Each container module serves as an indoor booth in the fashion of an urban market.

The location shown is a sliver of street front real-estate on 5th Avenue at 42nd Street. In this scheme, the containers are placed in an undulating manner, animating the facade. A system of catwalks, stairs, and elevators is wedged between the container stack and the wall of the adjacent building to make up the circulation and a series of outdoor public spaces. Containers are taken out at different locations, allowing the exchange of air, light, and street views.

Cambridge university 800th anniversary

To celebrate the legendary Cambridge University 800 years anniversary, ETC was commissioned to create a light show to mark the celebration. ETC produced a projection spectacular onto the facades of two of the faculty’s buildings – the Senate House and the Old School building. The 50m wide video projections paid homage to the incredible theories and inventions to come out of the famous institution, such as those from Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin. The nine-minute looped show played for three nights, attracting thousands of spectators to the town centre.

Wipe Shirt by FIFT

I definitely love this small invention by FIFT. How caring they are in thinking of this shirt. Designed by design-duo Katsunari and Ami Igarashi, the shirt look no different than others except a built-in black microfiber cleaner at the shirttail and cuff. Functions as a wiping cloth for your glasses or cell phones, the small black spot is very well position, which still make a nice looking shirt for everyday wear. The design syncs perfectly with FIFT’s mission to promote interaction between their products and the user.

Diamond Sideboard

My first thought about the Diamond Sideboard was 'Wow'. This stunning piece exemplifies the technique of avant-garde artisan craftsmanship.

As a crown jewel to represent Boca do Lobo's reputation as a furniture jewelers, the Diamond Sideboard features facets similar to the round brilliant cut, used for diamond, with two highly sculptured doors leading to a gold leaf interior with shelving and two drawers. Inspired by Gothic furniture of the Romantic period with its ability to harness the power of the imagination to envision and escape, and its strong style with presence and strength. The exterior of this fanciful piece is covered in silver leaf finishes with a luxurious shade of translucent amethyst high gloss varnish. The whimsical lion's head feet are intricately hand carved from mahogany and completed with a gold leaf.
