Well, I must admit this is a weird concept for a watch. The Fertilization Watch by Andy Kurovets shows an ovule at the center with three little sperm showing the seconds, minutes and hours is moving forth to fertilize the central ovule! The next time your kid asks you how are babies made, just show them your wrist.

If you like Russian Matryoshka, then you will love the Kimmidoll.
Kimmidoll, short for 'Kimono Doll', was born from the Japanese tradition of Kokeshi doll. Kokeshi dolls have been given away as tokens of love and friendship for over two centuries. It is this philosophy of bestowing luck and good fortune upon friends and family that is behind the creation of the Kimmidoll brand. Kimmidolls are contemporary collectable dolls combining a fusion of traditional and modern creative sensibility.

Created by Australia's 'the aird group', the Kimmidoll family have close to 100 characters, each lovingly designed and representing one of “Life’s True Values”.

Jamie Oliver, in partnership with US chef Adam Perry Lang, has opened a new restaurant called Barbecoa. Located in the Jean Nouvel-designed One New Change near St Paul’s cathedral, the Barbecoa's interior is designed by the interior design arm of Tom Dixon, Design Research Studio.
Barbecoa is a 200 seater restaurant, 40 seater bar and a take-away venue and butcher. The 700m² project is spread across 3 units over 2 stories within the One New Change building.
Design Research Studio has developed a concept that is sensitive to the historical surrounds of St Paul’s cathedral and to the newly emerging context of the One New Change building. The scheme maximises views of St Paul’s cathedral with a furniture layout that allows every customer to see the London landmark.

A harmonious blend of tradition and craft, Naoto Fukasawa's Hiroshima chair exhibits an honesty of materials and subtle warmth while harmoniously utilizing advanced technology and hand-craftsmanship within the production process. With perfectly seemed joints, the armchair appears to be hand-carved from a solid block of wood. Unaltered, the texture and color of the beech and oak wood used for the collection give the chairs a feeling of freshness while recalling the traditional Japanese wooden chairs of the past. The tapering of the sides of the arms, the seat of the chair and the table accentuate the beauty of the light shining on their surfaces.

Following Maruni's tradition of industrializing Japanese craft-work for over 80 years, the Hiroshima chair's simplicity and natural warmth are the result of complex manufacturing processes. Through advanced computer-aided routers, each piece of the chair is machine cut from raw wood, ensuring the perfect fit when assembled. In addition to the industrialization of the process, the final details of the chair are done by skilled craftsmen who sand the wood to a smooth finish.

The latest addition to designer Pavel Eekra's portfolio is the Crimen pinecone lamp. This pinecode-like lampshade consists of 56 plates and screws, without an internal frame. Made of natural wood veneer, the slightly transparent veneer sheet with gaps among each others allow light pass through. This creates a particular pattern of light from the outside and downward bright light.
This hanging lamp is huge too- 700mm diameter x 900mm height.

There is no shortage of lounge classics, but hardly any of them is so fresh and saucy as the Satyr. There it stands, bold and robust – and that really is important as this is not a chair for formal sitting, but an invitation to relax, lean back and put your feet up. In Satyr, For Use not even try to create something extraordinary, grabbing attention piece, but an armchair that is subtle and comfy. Paradoxical as it sounds, Satyr is the expression of a timeless attitude: casual but demanding unconventionality.
For me, the Satyr is a really cute chair, the ducky look-alike shape really caught my eye at first glance!

British designer Tom Dixon is undoubtedly famous for his love of copper, one of the oldest metal used by man. His Copper Shade pendant light is already a modern classic. So it comes as no surprise that fold-up bike brand, Brompton collaboration with Tom Dixon to develop a limited edition prototype copper plated bicycle. The precise process involved a base nickel plating to offer a ‘key’ for the thin copper layer on top, followed by an electrophoretic lacquer coating of all the frame parts to seal the copper finish and add further protection from the elements.

A very smart & brilliant advertising idea for BMW M3 Coupe at Hamburg Airport- a 50x2m light wall in the middle of the arrival hall. To portray a car that exceed limits, advertising agency Serviceplan created a billboard that exceed limits. By designing a headline out of half letters, the super shiny floor reflect the other half. As a result, BMW doubled the media space for free.
