Puzzle Tray by Materious with Newton Vineyard
For their 2012 annual “Eco-Chic” project which blends the art of natural winemaking with modern eco-conscious design, Napa Valley wine company Newton Vineyard has collaborated with Chicago-based design studio Materious and the result of the collaboration is the Puzzle Tray- a great cheese and wine accessory.
This tabletop piece evokes Newton’s rich history and commitment to eco-conscious philosophy as a luxury accessory for its unfiltered line of wines. The design features removable puzzle-pieces created by the bisecting lines that create coasters, small recesses that can act as serving bowls and even a hidden cave that holds a corkscrew.
The tray was inspired by Newton Vineyard and is made from Forest Stewardship Council certified walnut wood, a responsibly sourced material.
